The Kansas Aviation Museum in association with the Newark Air Museum, UK is hosting the 2nd annual Cockpit-Fest USA Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. You are invited to bring your cockpits and simulators for outdoor display during this 2 day event held in conjunction with the AVSIM Fancon, the world’s leading international flight simulator convention.

Confirmed cockpits attending include a 737-200 simulator, general aviation simulator, AH-1 Cobra simulator, NASA DC-8 simulator, F-4 Phantom simulators, B-52 Stratofortress cockpit, DC-9 cockpit, A-7 Corsair cockpit, F-84F Thunderstreak cockpit, F-15A Eagle cockpit, and the President Kennedy Air Force One replica cockpit and Stateroom.

Stearman Best Aircraft Cockpit – wins a Stearman Bi-plane ride!
Flightsafety Best Simulator Cockpit – wins a motion simulator flight session!


General Public Activities:

• Open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

• Debuting the 737 History Exhibit on board the Kansas Aviation Museum's own 737-200.
• Sit in jet fighter and airliner cockpits.
• The AVSIM Fancon, with simulation software vendors from around the world.

• The new Boeing Kids Aerospace Education and Simulator Center.

• The Wichita Aircraft Manufacturing Tribute, featuring group aircraft fly-bys.
• Wright R-3350 Duplex Cyclone engine start, from the B-29 Superfortress “Doc”.

• See the VATSIM virtual air traffic controllers in action.

• RC model airplane display.
